Blake Schnell joined POET in April 2012 as an Associate Process Development Engineer at the POET Research Center in Scotland, SD as a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. Mr. Schnell started his career overseeing the fermentation research operations of the cellulosic pilot facility. His roles evolved quickly to include managing the pretreatment research.
Mr. Schnell currently works on the engineering research development team that has impacted POET through improving process efficiencies on multiple unit operations at the starch biorefineries and has been responsible for developing new processes for enhancing starch biorefined products.
