My focus is emulsifiers: investigating chemical and physical properties as well as functionality in various food and non-food applications. I collaborate both internally and externally to find solutions tailored to the end customer and/or market needs. I am a subject matter expert at my company for palm sustainability (RSPO MB).
Areas of professional interest and focus include: organic chemistry, liquid crystalline phases and lipid polymorphism (via DSC and optical microscopy), and material science. Expertise for: mono/diglycerides, lactic acid esters, and propylene glycol esters.
Personal interests include gardening, crocheting, and reading (mostly fiction).
